feeling my brain?

Sometimes when I lay down I can feel every part of my brain - all the little compartments that have different jobs and what not. Some of them are sort of throbbing and it feels really strange to think that what I am feeling at that moment is my brain. Is it weird to be able to feel your brain working? I mean, we can feel our hearts beating sometimes...our lungs expanding...why not our brain, well, er - functioning? I think I'm just a freak.
